Date & Time:
Saturday, December 2nd, 2023
5 pm – Chior Performance at Johnson Farm Archival Building
7 pm – Christmas Carols at the Starlighting, Anderson Island Ferry Dock

Admission to both events is complimentary, offering you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the choir’s uplifting melodies. Additionally, we welcome contributions to support the Vivace Choral Program in their musical endeavors.

The Vivace! Choral Program is a mentoring music program, a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1999 by Andrea Klouse as a supplement to the musical offerings of our chorister’s regular school day.

At Vivace!, their educational model thrives on mentorship, where each choir is guided by students from the next level, fostering a vibrant learning environment. Additionally, talented aspiring educators and college students pursuing music education take on leadership roles within our Cathedrals Choir, refining their artistic talents in a supportive setting.

Students delve into vocal technique, theory, history, movement, and performance, while we offer budding music educators a nurturing space to grow and excel. Vivace’s choristers deliver a diverse repertoire, from exquisite motets to joyfully choreographed pieces that promise to delight, inspire, and captivate audiences of all ages.

The Vivace! choirs have graced renowned venues such as The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and The Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. They’ve also left their mark at the Abbey Bach Festival in Mt. Angel, Oregon, and various mesmerizing cathedrals along the scenic West Coast, from Seattle to San Francisco.

Internationally, Vivace’s Cathedrals Choir has performed at prestigious events like the Mozart Festival in Salzburg and Vienna, as well as formal concerts in Melk Abbey and the Matthias Church in Budapest, Hungary. Collaborations with esteemed musical entities like the Seattle Symphony’s Benaroya Hall and Tacoma’s Pantages Theater, under the baton of Maestro Harvey Felder and the guidance of Dr. Geoffrey Boers of the University of Washington, have enriched their musical journey.

Join us for an enchanting evening filled with the magic of music and the spirit of Vivace!
