Our Values

Our Story

In 1998, Island Arts was born out of a need for creativity, culture, and artistic expression on Anderson Island, Washington. Our goal was to become a community-based entity dedicated to enriching lives through visual, performing, literary, and film arts, as well as education, for the residents of the island. Since its inception, Island Arts has made a remarkable impact with unwavering determination and an unwavering commitment to its mission and continues to be a beacon of art, imagination, and connection for the residents of Anderson Island.

Island Arts is a non-profit organization located on Anderson Island, with a clear objective of providing diverse arts-related events and activities for both the residents of the island and surrounding communities. For over 25 years, we have been committed to fostering creativity, expression, and connection by organizing and sponsoring a wide range of programs, such as live music, movies, poetry readings, art shows, and our exciting annual Anderson Island Film Festival. As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain dedicated to our mission and passionate about bringing the joy of the arts to our community.
