We meet on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Johnson Farm Archival Building.
Experience or a camera is not a requirement. Come and share pictures, ideas, and skills.
Each month we will have a photo theme. If you want to share your work during a meeting, you may submit up to 3 photos that are based on the monthly theme. For information on how to upload your photos for a meeting, please register with the Anderson Island Photography Club by filling out the registration form
We will be having a very special presentation at our next meeting on Thursday, June 22nd, 7 pm, at the Johnson Farm Archival Building.
Becky Washington of Tahomawind Photography will be doing a presentation on her recent trip to Svalbard. (See the photo for an example of Becky’s work). If you have not heard of Svalbard, don’t feel too bad. It is an archipelago north of mainland Norway and is one of the northernmost inhabited areas in the world. It is the home of a little over 2,600 humans and a whole lot of polar bears, arctic foxes, reindeer and other wildlife. Think arctic environment with a little human footprint, sea birds, glaciers (60% of the entire area is covered with them) and fjords. We hope you can make it to the presentation.
