6th Annual Anderson Island Writing Retreat

The 6th annual Anderson Island Writing Retreat was held at the beautiful Anderson Island Farm & Gardens from July 19 to July 21.  The workshop was attended by 18 amateur and professional writers from the island and from as far away as Bend, OR and Kauai, Hawaii.  Dianne Avey, the long-time coordinator of the retreat, brought two writing instructors, William Kenower and Sheila Bender, here to help the aspiring writers with their skills in both prose and poetry.  Many of the writers commented that they loved the program and will be coming back next year.
